Description: There are several types Ylang Ylang essential oils. Ylang Ylang 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Complete, and Extra. Each Ylang Ylang is named for the stage of the distillation process.

Ylang Ylang Extra would be the first essential oil extracted and is collected a very short time after distillation. After Ylang Ylang Extra is extracted, then Ylang Ylang 1st, then 2nd, and then 3rd (this essential oil) is extracted respectively. Finally, Ylang Ylang Complete is collected when distillation is completed.

Each type of Ylang Ylang has the unmistakable, distinct, exotic aroma, yet each has its own aromatic variation. The quality of the oil is the same even though the aroma is different.

Ylang Ylang is very popular in fragrances and is found in many very high-end perfumes.
