Description:  Bergamot (Bergaptene-Free) is beloved due to its intense, uplifting aroma. It complements countless essential oil blends, adding a layer delightful sweetness and citrus, much more in depth than using orange oil, for example. It is also used in the culinary industry.

Bergamot BF is a great choice of Bergamot, especially when used in cosmetics. This is because regular Bergamot is phototoxic (can cause skin sensitivity and possible burning and/or blistering when exposed to sunlight) and should be highly diluted if it is to come in contact with the skin. As Bergamot ages, the oil can become more concentrated, increasing its phototoxicity. Bergaptene-free Bergamot (Bergamot BF) is not phototoxic and will not produce the effect on the skin.
